Tania Isidora...

In my continuing efforts to streamline my business, I have decided that a name change is in order...

Pink Twilight will now be Tania Isidora {my first and middle names}.

I have been thinking about doing this for a while now, but when I saw this and this...I knew I had to make the change. I am really excited about this and I hope you will follow me on my new blog and continue on this journey with me!

As some of you may have noticed, I closed my Pretty Papel shop. I don't want to split my focus between two shops. My hubby and my son will be in charge of Buddha Books...they will have that up and running soon. I will continue to offer pretty supplies at Tania Isidora. I will be moving all of my listings over to my new shop today. Stop by and heart me and come by often...I have big plans ;)

Don't Talk About It... BE About It...

I have kinda sorta taken the last few weeks off...I haven't tweeted much {not easy} and I haven't updated my etsy shops very much. What have I been doing??? Well...

I celebrated my birthday on September 28. My son celebrated is 14th birthday yesterday and the rest of the time I have been at a crossroad, wondering which direction to take. Now that all of my kids are in school, I have the opportunity to well, how should I put this... increase my family's disposable income and savings ~in other words~ get a JOB. Seems simple right? Not for me. You see I feel this constant tug at my heart and it's pulling me towards magic, wonder, joy, satisfaction, healing, creativity, art...

So these past few weeks I've been thinking about which direction my life should take now. Whenever I find myself in this situation, I always try to get out of my own way and watch for "signs". So I pretty much just sat back and let the universe show me which direction to take.

After the boxes and boxes of fabric, vintage seam binding, vintage books, ribbons, trim, vintage sewing patterns and oh soooo lovely paper literally fell into my lap...I got the message.

And after a good heart to heart with John, I finally said to him "I don't want to be gone from home all day every day for the next thirty years." to which he replied "I don't want that either." So at least I knew we were both on the same page. I LOVE being able to pick my kids up from school every day and being available for whatever my family might need. I also LOVE being in control of my time...and working from home allows me to do that. So when I told John that what I really want to do is more of what I've been doing on Etsy, his reply was "Don't talk about it, BE about it."

So here I am...I will take my little business and make it into a "full time" job. Up until now it's been more of a hobby/just for fun/when I have time sorta thing. It's time to take things to the next level and create the life I've always imagined. So what does this mean for you, my faithful customers and friends...just more fabulous, cute, shabby chic, cottage style, vintage inspired, goodies :) Lots more vintage finds and I will also be adding more fun items for you to create with in my supply shop.

I am also adding a third Etsy shop ~Buddha Books~ where I will feature vintage books. Buddha is my son's nickname. It started because of his Buddha belly that he had when he was a baby and then it took on more meaning as he got older and he revealed just how enlightened, compassionate and wise he truly is.

I look forward to sharing this exciting adventure with all of you.

Peace, Love & Light ♥

First Days...

Today was the first day of school for my teenagers and Tatiana. I almost cryed...but I didn't. The teenagers were calm, cool and collected. They showed no signs of being nervous {not even my freshman}. Tatiana was a bit nervous and scared, but she has a very kind, sweet teacher and I was able to sneak out of the classroom before she could panic.
I'm sad...the house is so quiet now. I'm also excited that I have so much more time to devote to my business now. This week I'm working on fall and halloween crafts. I know it's still summer, but now that school has started I can just feel the chill in the air. Can't you?

Adam...

I'd like to introduce you to my son, Adam. He's handsome, funny, smart {I'm talkin honor student, computer whiz, beats every video game I buy him the same day, brainiac smart} and he's a great brother to both of his sisters. He's my movie buddy {he loves star wars just like mom} and he LOVES basketball. He still lets me kiss him goodnight {but never in front of his friends} and I couldn't imagine my life without him...

On a business note, I finally got the camera situation fixed and I guarantee new items in the shop tomorrow.

Picnik and a Fashion Show...

I LOVE LOVE LOVE picnik! I've been experimenting with making my etsy pictures look better. I tried every single possibility and finally decided on the matte effect. It gives the pictures a soft white "glow" and really makes the item a focal point. And as promised...I will begin introducing my family to you...starting with my youngest bambino...Tatiana {please ignore the mess I have yet to unpack in the background;}

She LOVES clothes and anything that has to do with fashion. She also LOVES doing arts and crafts with mommy. Maybe she'll combine the two and be a fashion designer! She's in preschool now...she's such a good little student. Tatiana is sweet and kind {when she's not having a temper tantrum} and I couldn't imagine life without her!

Stone Soup...

I took the stone soup challenge today. What a great idea the talented Laura Bray had. Inspired by the story "Stone Soup", she is asking fellow artists and crafters to put aside a percentage of their net sales each month and purchase something from another artist. She is creating a grass roots movement with the idea that if everybody contributes a little something we will all feast! Click here to join the challenge or click on the Stone Soup Challenge button on the sidebar.
On a business note...I will be listing fun little journals this week as well as some more spring goodies! Happy Shopping!

Back to Business...

For those of you who didn't know...we moved last weekend. I HATE moving, but I LOVE pulling out my old treasures that I keep boxed up and don't get to see too often. Now I'm rethinking that concept. I'll share some pix later of some treasures I'm thinking of displaying. Well the moving is done so I'm just trying to get back to "normal" whatever that is...I did manage to list some new old stash in the shop. I'll be busy the next few days making some more paper goodies. Have a beautiful, magical day! xoxo
